NYS Legislature's war on family
When the average person thinks how depraved our society has become, no one would have believed the utter stupidity of the New York State Legislature targeting parents. The legislature in New York is currently controlled by Democrats, many of whom embrace the radical ideology of the progressive movement. While they have changed societal norms and changed reality into a nether world of the absurd, their effort to erase, "Mother" and "Father" and replace them with "Gestating Parent" and "Non-Gestating Parent" is repulsive. All in the name of inclusivity, they actually exclude ninety-nine plus percent of society. The alleged reason of their absurdity is to include transgender individuals.
Whether radical progressives are willing to accept it or not, biology is a truism, a reality of science. So even if they wish to believe there are multiple genders, there are only two, male and female. Even under the transgender umbrella, the majority who seek to transition socially or medically often become male or female. Others under the umbrella who refer to themselves as "they" or "them" or "non-binary" are expressing their rejection of sexual and or gender boundaries but ultimately express themselves more predominately as male or female. That's their choice. A choice does not become a biological reality. A woman who gives birth is a Mother. A man who has a relationship with a woman to produce a child is a Father. This is a biological fact proven billions of time in the course of history. Each and every person who considers themselves as transgender have a mother and father. That is reality.
The most important issue facing New Yorkers is affordability which includes taxes and the cost of living. Instead of focusing on the issues that matter most, the New York State Legislature choose to focus on the absurd. They seek to demean Mothers and Fathers versus support families. We challenge any of these radical out of touch legislators to tell a Mother that she is nothing more than a "Gestating Parent" performing a function and a Father is nothing more than a "Non-Gestating Parent" by definition. None of them have the guts to do so or have the intelligence to explain the rational behind their absurdity. There is none. It has to do with their moral and ethical blindness, a lack of rationality and common sense. Who will benefit from this legislative change? Will the next step include legislation to eliminate "Mothers day" or Fathers day"?
At least one elected official, Town of Hempstead Supervisor John Ferretti along with the town board unanimously took a stand in support of Mothers and Fathers. The town which is the largest town in America with over 800,000 residents, passed an emergency resolution to keep the terms, Mother and Father in its policies and local laws. Supervisor Ferretti made a interesting point, the state could have added further language but instead chose to eliminate "Mother" and "Father". This just further proves the point of how radical and out of touch the New York State Legislature really is. The days of slow incrementalism in order to quietly change society have ended. Today its all or nothing extremism.
This action by the New York State Legislature is a watershed moment. An inflection point as Joe Biden liked to say. Either society will stand for the beauty and truth of motherhood and the importance of fathers or we will allow a band of legislators to erase the reality of what makes a family. If unchallenged, it will expedite the fruition of a rudderless society untethered to morality, rationality and reality. The fruits of radical progressivism. The question now rests with Governor Hochul who has until the end of the year to sign or veto the bill. Will the Governor who is running for re-election stand up for Moms, Dads, families and common sense?
