This was addressed with all members of the legislature in October 2007.

 

*David Mejias stated on the record that he opposes Spitzer's license plan. He then indicated that he will send his own letter, however a copy has yet to be received.

**Lisanne Altmann who is not running for re-election has indicated that she will not sign a letter opposing the plan.

Seven members of the legislature have declined to state their position and or send a letter to the Governor opposing the plan.

*Lisanne Altmann is not seeking re-election.

*Wayne Wink was elected this year to fill the seat of Craig Johnson and was not in the legislature when this matter was voted on, however he sponsored similar legislation as a North Hempstead Town Councilman. Craig Johnson who won office as a state Senator has since endorsed homosexual marriage and is a sponsor of legislation in the Senate calling for legalizing homosexual marriage in New York .
