A Tribute to President Ronald Wilson Reagan

1911-2004

Ronald Wilson Reagan was one of the greatest American Presidents of the twentieth century. He brought back patriotism, ended the cold war, reduced the size of government and returned the people’s money in the form of tax cuts. He laid out his vision and did not stray. He was a man of tremendous faith and had tremendous faith in the American people.

Ronald Reagan put his principles above politics. He taught us that the government is not the answer to all out ills; we as individuals can and should determine our own destiny. He exuded confidence and was comfortable among the people.

He appealed to the people as individuals not as groups. He brought people together for love of God, family and country. He made us proud to be Americans.

He ensured the protection of the American people by peace through strength. He never wavered in his call for an end to the “Evil Empire”. In 1987 while at the Berlin wall, he demanded that Gorbachev, “tear down this wall”. Less then three years later, the wall which was the symbol of the iron curtain came down.

Ronald Reagan believed that the growth of the federal government was too large for the needs of the American people. He understood that the money collected in taxes belonged to the people but most importantly he understood that the government is of the people not the administration of government.

“Government does not tax to get the money it needs; government always finds a need for the money it gets”. Ronald Reagan

He was a man of faith who prayed often. He was the same person in private as he was in public. He was an optimist who communicated great things. He put his trust in the American people and the people trusted him. We owe him our gratitude and our thanks. In the words of the Gipper, “The best is yet to come”.
