Rejecting Bigotry

Critical Race Theory must be rejected

In an amazing act of bait and switch, the progressive movement took advantage of the social upheaval arising out the George Floyd riots. First they accused the police of actually hunting down people based on their race in order to arrest or kill. Next they called America and its institutions inherently racist. Every disparity was cited as proof of an ongoing pattern of racism both intentional and unintentional. The remedy for all of America's racial ills was Equity. No more reliance on equal opportunity. No more color blindness. The times called for equal outcome by compulsion either through unilateral action by America's institutions or by mass acquiescence of those deemed to be the oppressors. Then in order to push Equity on the masses, CRT proponents began to spread disinformation, i.e. denying the fact that the evil ideology was being promoted throughout all facets of society. Those who spoke out or opposed Equity were deemed white supremacists giving their last final racist gasp. Unfortunately for CRT acolytes, the American people caught on to the lies. CRT is a dishonest vile ideology that conflicts with our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It seeks to upend the jurisprudence of civil rights law and create chaos in order to deconstruct society in furtherance of their dream for a Marxism utopia.

To understand CRT, we simply have to quote those who champion the cause. "The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination." Ibram Kendi, How to be an Antiracist. If there was any doubt as to hatred, this quote makes it very clear, "We believe that so long as the white race exists, all movements against what is called "racism" will fail. Therefore, our aim is to abolish the white race." Noel Ignatiev in Critical Whiteness Studies. As to the their desire to upend civil rights jurisprudence and the constitution, "Unlike traditional civil rights, which embraces incrementalism and step-by-step progress, critical race theory questions the very foundations of the liberal order, including equality theory, legal reasoning, Enlightenment rationalism, and neutral principles of constitutional law." Delgato & Stefanic, Critical Race Theory; An Introduction.

We place our trust in God and know our natural rights flow from him. The American Constitution and it's Bill of Rights were not drafted to give Americans our natural rights but to restrain government from violating our God given rights. As Critical Race Theory has taken a hold inside many of our educational institutions and even some legislative institutions, it is imperative that we stand for our constitutional rights without fear or question. It is time we learn from history by reflecting on America's history and never repeating what we know is morally wrong. All men are created equal. We must never justify discrimination based on color, class or creed. The battle cry of freedom requires our adherence to equal opportunity not equal outcome. Color blindness must remain the standard versus relying on one's identity for disfavor or favor.  As to equity, we have a system of law that allows any aggrieved party the right to seek redress in a court of law and or an administrative proceeding which allows equitable relief for constitutional violations in order to make the party whole. It is not equity for equities sake, but the remedy for those who sustain their claim of a civil wrong in a court of law.

As we have laid our in our article, What is Critical Race Theory (CRT)?, there is no doubt that the application of CRT conflicts with our constitution, the Bill of Rights and Civil Rights jurisprudence. Therefore, those governmental entities as well as private business that seek to implement and promote CRT do so at their own legal peril. Accordingly in an effort to protect all students in Nassau and Suffolk counties, we have sent a letter to all public school districts as well as colleges and universities to inform them of the ideology of CRT as well as the potential for civil rights violations for those entities that promote and or apply CRT in the classroom. The Nassau County Civic Association's mission is consistent with this action as we seek to inform and educate educational entities, parents and students of their rights under the constitution.
