The rise of communist Mandami spells doom for Democrats
The Democrat party has a long tradition of inspiring political leaders like Andrew Jackson, Grover Cleveland, Franklin D. Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, Lyndon B. Johnson, Speaker of the House, Sam Rayburn, Tip O'Neal and Congressman Henry M. Jackson, the list goes on and on. While their philosophy differed from the Republican party on some matters, they all believed in the greatness of America and fought for the success of our nation. Many were beloved by the everyday man and woman. It was without a doubt that they understood how to govern and how to address societal problems. It's about saying what the people actually think and addressing the issues that matter most to voters. People want safety, freedom, economic prosperity, opportunity and to be better off than their parents. This is often referred to as the American Dream. Nothing is impossible if you work hard and play by the rules. Government is not to be an impediment to happiness but rather a silent partner with a limited role consistent with the constitution. Our nation is a Republic which based on the principles of capitalism and the doctrine of laissez-faire. This has been the key to our success referred to as a "beacon on a hill" which all other nations aspire to.
The modern Democrat party has evolved from a party that understood the American electorate to one that is out of touch with the American people. From running on a positive message to one of anger and fear. It is true that both political parties run negative ads, however the issues that matter to large segments of society have been replaced by an extreme and radical agenda way outside the margins. Disagreeing on economic policy is one thing but embracing a socialist system with the trappings of communism is radical. Putting criminals first with bail reform and failing to ensure safety to American families is insanity. By ignoring biology to embrace the lunacy of allowing biological men in woman's bathrooms and locker rooms then labeling women who oppose this policy as bigots is radical. Pushing gender change and inappropriate sexual themes on young children is evil. Pushing the agenda of climate change by dictating how Americans heat their home or which car they buy is all about government control which has driven up energy costs and impeded our economy. Embracing open borders to allow all to come to America without limits and vetting, then providing free housing welfare, legal assistance, health care and in state college tuition is treasonous.
Human life is precious and issues involving life deserve some rationality. Yet the core mantra of the party calls for eliminating all restrictions on abortion even allowing a child who is born in a botched abortion to die. That is cold and ruthless. Didn't Bill Clinton say "abortion should be safe and legal but rare". Its no different with their support of legal assisted suicide. Claiming to be for civil rights when stifling free speech in schools & colleges or via social media, open hostility to people of faith and a hysterical approach to the Second Amendment in order to ban firearms. Instead of having dialogue, calling your opponents Hitler, Nazis or Fascists while embracing Hamas and allowing Jews to be targeted in higher education across America. Promoting DEI policies that discriminate on race even though the constitution and civil rights statutes say otherwise. One of the most egregious acts was to require Americans to take the Covid vaccine. The biggest lie was the vaccine prevented the spread of Covid and it was safe. Many suffered severe medical side effects and a significant number died. Many lost their jobs for refusing the jab and those who had religious objections were still forced to take the jab. Anyone who disputed the efficacy of the vaccine were silenced and targeted by government. What ever happened to the philosophy of "my body my choice". This is just the tip of the political transformation.
When no one thought it could get any worse, the establishment endorsed candidate for New York City Mayor, Zohran Mandami is an avowed communist. While he refers to himself as a Democratic Socialist, he actually called for "seizing the means of production" which is at the core of communism. It calls for workers to take and centralize the ownership of a country's industries. He has called for government run grocery stores and free bus service. He is a staunch supporter of the terrorist group, Hamas and wants to "Globalize the Infada" which refers to several periods of violent Palestinian uprisings against Israel. As a member of the Democrat Socialists of America, he supports free housing, healthcare, childcare and college for all. Nothing is truly free as there is a cost. The question is who ends up paying? He supports universal rent control which will indirectly seize control over housing and dissuade developers to build new housing. He supports eliminating mandatory minimums for criminals, legalizing prostitution and drugs. He wants to reduce the work week to 32 hours and tax all for profit corporations as well as those he deems as rich. Take from one and give to the other. He strongly supports the green new scam and wants to eliminate all fossil fuels. He also wants to eliminate all borders, allow anyone to enter the U.S. to work and receive all social service benefits. He supports giving voting rights to non citizens and wants to change our form of government.
He is obviously well outside the margins of sanity and yet he has been endorsed by all of New York's Democratic leaders from Governor Hochul to all statewide elected officials except for Senators Schumer and Gillibrand. Therefore is it not reasonable to conclude that they have now embraced the public policy positions of the Democrat Socialist of America? In the past, political leaders with integrity would have criticized and condemned many of the radical public policy positions of a radical communist. But today, they have put their arms around him and his policies warmly embracing him. There is not one country or region where socialism or communism has changed society for the better. It is a system that leads to everyone being equal and everyone having nothing. It disincentives ambition, hard work and morality. It eliminates freedom and critical thinking. It places government on the alter of an egotistical humanistic religion that serves to control people and perpetuate dishonesty. It requires its citizens who question its failures to reject what their eyes can see and the reality of truth. It is emblematic of George Orwell's book, 1984. Hate is love or war is peace. The truth is communism and or Democrat Socialism is an evil and irrational ideology. It has no place in America.
Americans and New Yorkers are no different than those who came before us. We want safety, freedom and economic prosperity. We want our children to have their slice of the American Dream not a communist nightmare. The political implosion of the Democrat party is disturbing. New York's elected leaders embracing absurdity is shocking. Mandami's rise should be seen as a flashing red light for the elders of the Democrat party. Will the party of John F. Kennedy listen to rationality and reason or will they fade into America's electoral history. We will see.
