TAXES - Suffolk County

March 14, 2011

This Tuesday, March 15th at 6 PM

"consolidate Gordon Heights FD to save some GREEN"

Brookhaven Town Hall, 1 Independence Hill, Farmingville, NY

Show Solidarity - WEAR GREEN the color of Money

AFTER FIVE LONG YEARS,

GHFD Fire Tax, Public Hearing

The report has VINDICATED all Rosalie has said for the past 5 years.  At the time of our filing and ever since then, we have suggested that the Town issue an RFP (request for proposal)  to ascertain how to replace the Fire District with a Fire Protection District, consistent with the principles of the Davis Plan, (Option C).

The Davis plan option is to Dissolve the GHFD as an independent Fire District, create, by resolution, a fire protection district, send out RFPs to other districts to bid on the provision of service, develop a contract with the selected provider, establish a new tax rate for the fire protection and establish an ambulance district based on the agreed upon contact (page 138).

Time for Tar and Feathers!

  • Nationalized Health Care.
  • New York State Senate voting to take away your right to defeat a school budget.
  • The coming fight over amnesty for illegal aliens.
  • Taking Back Our Public Schools.
  • Plans for running ads against rogue members of Congress and State Senate.
Passing the health care bill is a slap in the face of freedom in Amercia. This is a direct assault on the Free Enterprise system and a huge step forward for solcialism.

Suffolk TEA Party

This Saturday September 12th

The event will start at Noon

Location the wedge on Route 112 and Tremont Avenue in Medford.

If you think Federal, State and Local Governments are taking the joy out of your life and it makes you feel powerless, confused or angry. You need to attend a Tax Enough Already Party.  TEA parties are therapy. They rekindle what is great about America. It is a terrific feeling to stand along side your neighbors and shout ENOUGH!  It’s good to know you are not alone.

Most of all, TEA parties are scaring politicians straight.

On September 17th  at 2PM the people will have an opportunity to speak for or against IR 1776-2009 at the Suffolk legislature.

If this bill passes the peoples’ vote becomes meaningless because the Legislature can change or remove any peoples’ referendum without asking the consent of the people.

IR 1776-2009 was  concocted by the Suffolk County Presiding Officer and his attorney to end the Doctrine of Equivalency. The Doctrine prohibits politicians from amending or repealing public referendum without a public vote.  This bill is a theft of power disguised as a housekeeping bill no regular person could understand.

The bill will repeal the LIPA Watchdog referendum at a time when LIPA is screwing us. It will eliminate Campaign Finance Law at a time the Presiding Officers “other campaign funds are flush”. Pine Barren funding referendum will also be repealed. Next they will repeal term limits.
